Dyea Hat Kit
Dyea by Caitlin Hunter is a quick and simple colorwork hat, great for beginner knitters or gift knitting. It is named for Dyea, Alaska, a former Gold Rush town in the Klondike that is now a ghost town.
The pattern has short floats and easy to memorize repeats, making it an excellent first colorwork project! It is also a good project for experienced knitters as a quick gift knit or stash buster. The pattern is written with the option of the folded or unfolded brim.
The hat is knit with AMORES Pilar- a DK Cashmere blend that is a dream on your needles. It's soft. It's squishy. It's hand-dyed. It never splits while you're working, and it has beautiful stitch definition. This is the kind of yarn that makes an heirloom project.
Kit contents: AMORES Pilar, 80% Superwash Extra Fine Merino, 10%, Cashmere, 10% Nylon, 246 yards (225m) per skein, 1 skein MC, 1 skein each of 2 CCs. We were able to get 2 hats out of our 3 skeins with unfolded brims!
