Powder Wrap by Casapinka
The latest shawl from Casapinka publishes February 5, 2021. We were able to get a sneak peak at the pattern so that we (and you) could start on it right away. Our knitter used Loops Luxe Royal Alpaca/Silk made just for us by our friends in Peru. Although Loops Luxe is considered a chunky yarn, we achieved the recommended gauge of 4 stitches per inch with a size 8 needle. Be sure to do a swatch to ensure you achieve your desired fabric drape and stitch gauge.
This is an asymmetric triangle that is a large, mesmerizing wrap to knit. The three sections repeat throughout until the last part where you do some increases and work cables. There are video links for doing the cables without a cable needle and also a beginner’s alternative in case you don’t wish to cable at all.
"Sharon From Security did help a small bit in the design of this wrap but is overstating her involvement so please consider this."
Worsted/Aran weight: 90”/229cm at neck edge X 20”/50cm deep.
This is a very large shawl. These photos represent the partially completed wrap. You will need 3 of our Loops Luxe 3-packs-available here:
Gauge: 16 stitches = 4 inches in Stockinette stitch, after blocking.
Yarn Requirements: 900 yards (823 m) of Loops Luxe Royal Alpaca/Silk.
