My new book + your bonuses đ
This is a personal invite, from me to you, dear Scoop reader, to join my Tricycle Team.
When I was 4, I begged my mom to let me go with her to the grocery. When I heard her keys jangle, I ran to the car... only to be told, nope, you canât come with me this time.
That word though â canât â didnât sit well. Just the opposite. It triggered something powerful, deep inside. So right after mom backed out of the driveway, I took to the highway - on my tricycle.
As I look back, every time I heard âcanât,â it was the gas that ignited me. It fueled me through the darkest times and drove me to beat the odds. Prove them all wrong.
So when they said, âYouâll never make a living with a yarn store,â I opened one anyway - then grew it a global movement to Knit the World Together.
People are always asking me, how in the world did you do this?
So I decided to write a book.
And Hay House/Random House decided to publish it. It comes out January 12, 2021.
I believe Move the Needle: Yarns from an Unlikely Entrepreneur is the book our world needs right now. In dark times, people need to know their creativity is valuable. They need to believe in reinvention. In a word, we all need hope.
Join the Tricycle Team. Weâve created a special page where you can pre-order the book and get loads of exclusive bonuses, including early print and audio samples of the book, and a chance to win a Vicuña box valued at $499!

Every year about this time, we get kind-hearted shoppers in our Loops store, wearing an overwhelmed (and slightly panicky) expression.
"Please help...I need a gift for my favorite knitter/crocheter but she already has more yarn than she could ever use!"
We think...
***That's not possible! We always neeeeed more yarn!***
But we reply,
"We know it may look that way, but trust us. She will LOVE more yarn. And she will love you for loving her enough to buy her more yarn."

Andrea Mowry's "Ramble" shawl is one of those pieces that looks more difficult than it is...and becomes an instant showpiece in your wardrobe.
There are simple garter stripes to relax you...then you finish it off with brioche herringbone, letting the colors play together in a whole new way.
With over 1,000 projects on Ravelry, this project has made many happy knitters!
"I LOVE BRIOCHE! This pattern has been one of my favorites."

Take your Ramble up a notch by indulging in "Mayu" yarn from Amano.
Mayu is dip-dyed in Peru, imitating a dyeing technique used by the Incas. An ethereal yarn is born! This Royal Alpaca/Cashmere/Silk blend is so drapey - and these tonal dyes have miles of depth and sheen.
You'll need 3 skeins each of both Main Color and Contrasting Color for Andrea's "Ramble." There are some touchable tonals here - our favorite pairs are:
Stone Grey + Frost White (our model colors)
Sunny Morning + Celestial
Cool Breeze + New Red Rock
Pick your Amano Mayu palette here.
In this season of giving and season of thankfulness, we want to share this beautiful idea from PassionatePennyPincher-dot-com.
This "Reverse Advent" calendar is an opportunity to reflect on what you have and share it with your community. It's a chance to talk to your family about the little differences you can make.
Knit The World Together this holiday season.
